Today, we received our Letter of Acceptance, or LOA (peeps in the adoption world loooove their acronyms)! This is a huge step in our process and a pretty firm benchmark that we are 2-2.5 months away from travelling.
We are so excited!! And especially being on this side of New Year’s Day…it feels so much closer.
Of course this also means that we are up to our eyeballs in paperwork; lots of late night drinking tea and working on grant applications; and generally hustling to keep lots of details organized, which is maybe not a strong suit for me. I am thankful that this has happened over Christmas break as we’ve obviously had a bit more time on our hands, time being a relative construct when you have three young children who are also home with lots of time on their hands. It also means a short amount of time to come up with lots o’ money, but I’ll save the details of that for my next post.
Thanks for celebrating with us and praying for us and loving us well through this process. We love our village!
